2031 SHOCKER: Muhoozi to Succeed His Father Museveni as President- Kabanda reveals

Kampala – Yesterday, the 1st of September seemed an unsual day in the Patriotic League of Uganda, commonly known as PLU camp, the political organisation for the first son. There was serious deployment along all roads leading to PLU Chairman Gen.Muhoozi kainerugaba’s office in Nakasero. The press conference seemed to be a special one, and it was rumoured that Muhoozi was to be the special guest of the day.

It wasn’t a coincidence that yesterday’s press conference was held on the same date declared to be a national demonstration day by all PLU members, matching to the Turkish Embassy to demonstrate the refusal by Turkey to surrender Fred Lumbuye, a Turkey based critic of the government of Uganda and Muhoozi in particular. Paherps, this was a mobilisation strategy by the cunning Kabanda, who now heads the PLU chairman’s office after his removal from the position of Secretary General of PLU a couple of months ago.

Among the dignitaries present was Hon. Kabanda, Mp Kasambya, Hon. Micheal Mawanda, among other MPs, ministers, supporters, and fans from the PLU camp who wished to catch the General’s eye.

Hon. Kabanda delivered the announcement at the PLU offices in Nakasero on behalf of Gen. Muhoozi. In his words, Kabanda said;

“Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has sent me to tell you that he will run for President of Uganda in the 2031–2036 election. “

This declaration was followed by hullabaloo and jubilation from the PLU supporters who had flocked the office in hundreds.

He also bragged for having declared the news of Oboth Oboth becoming the Speaker of Uganda, replacing the former Speaker Annet Anita Among in May, and people doubted. He made it clear that there is no conflict between President Museveni and Gen.Muhoozi. He went ahead to say that the Father(Museveni) had sanctioned this movement and will also be the campaign manager.

He called on all PLU supporters to keep calm and enthusiastic too. Kabanda also mentioned that PLU is going to traverse all the 146 districts in Uganda for endorsement from Ugandans. He made it clear that there will also be a national wide registration of PLU supporters across the country. He further called on all Ugandan to jump onto the ship before it left the dock.

One opposition supporter we interviewed reminded us that Gen. Sejusa warned about this in 2013 and paid for it with exile. Now it’s not even secret. It’s a press conference. They raided a newsroom, hunted General Ssejjusa into exile, and called it treason all to protect a lie that turned out to be the plan all along.

Another critic posed what he called an honest question: “If the General says he will have done away with the opposition by 2030, who exactly will he run against? Wouldn’t it then be a complete waste of taxpayers’ money to organize another “election”? We need to be honest with ourselves. Elections are costly. From our most recent experiences, they simply aren’t worth the heavy inconveniences of torture, unwarranted arrests, killings, and internet shutdowns. “

General Muhoozi’s road to presidency has been brought to light, not a secret anymore, while some say it’s mere politicking and empty words, others indeed take Kabanda’s words seriously, 99% of his bets have turned out correct. It’s not late for schemers to jump onto the ship. It’s already evident where the greener pastures will be, and still, not much organisation is seen on the opposition side. It’s too early to call may be. “A day in politics can change course for generations to come”
