Liverpool needed a 90th Minute Miracle To avoid Humiliation by Nottingham Forest in a 2:2 Draw.

Kampala- Liverpool was in shambles and looked more defensive despite being at home, managing to grab a point miraculously after equalising in the 90th Minute. The result wasn’t any good to the desperate fans that filled up Anifield to the bream on Saturday, the 29th of August.

Having been held to a 2:2, draw by Newcastle at St.Jame’s park in their opening game of the season 2026/27, the expectations were high, this was a must win for Araola at the home ground.

According to several Liverpool fans, the Reds team was not in proper shape, and that’s not the result they expected. Nottingham Forest looked like the underdogs, but in the end, they grabbed the Reds by the neck, choking them to a 2:2 draw.

It was such a dramatic game since everyone thought the Reds had lost it. The visitors were 2:1 ahead of the hosts up to the 90th Minute. Alexander Arnold’s only goal wasn’t enough to save a point for the hungry hosts.

The gods of Liverpool worked full-time, the hosts managing to bag an equaliser in the last minutes of the game to secure a point. The equaliser came from Victor Munoz, one of the new signings for the Reds this season. It was such a beauty in the eyes of desperate Liverpool fans gasping for air in the dying minutes. Victor’s goal was a breath of fresh air, overturning the shame that would have engulfed the entire Anifield, had they lost the game at home.

Although the Reds managed to secure a point for the second time in row, making 2 points out of the two games played so far, it’s not a good start as compared to it’s rivals; Man.city, Arsenal and Man.u. In the coming encounters, we expect the manager, Araola to have worked on his leaking points especially the defence, getting a perfect partner for captain Virgil Van Dijk in the central defence, as well as getting a perfect fit for the left back. The centre is not holding so well. A perfect number 6 is needed to give cover to the defence, as well as linking attacks through the middle.
